Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern use of Turtal, booking software operated by Shark Byte LLC. By using a Turtal booking page — as a stylist or as a client booking an appointment — you agree to these terms.
The service
Turtal lets independent stylists offer an online booking page where clients can choose a service, verify their phone number, agree to the stylist's policies, and book an appointment. Turtal may facilitate saving a payment card on file (via Stripe) at the stylist's option. Appointments, services, pricing, and policies are set by the individual stylist.
SMS / text message program
Turtal sends appointment-related text messages on behalf of stylists to clients who provide their mobile number to book an appointment.
- Program: transactional messages only — a one-time verification code, booking confirmations, and appointment reminders.
- Opt-in: by entering your mobile number to verify and complete a booking on a stylist's booking page, you consent to receive these messages from that stylist via Turtal. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency: recurring and tied to your appointments (typically a verification code per booking session, a confirmation per booking, and reminders before each appointment).
- Rates: message and data rates may apply.
- Opt-out: reply STOP to cancel; reply HELP for help, or contact support@turtal.app.
- Carriers: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Turtal only for lawful purposes and not to misuse the booking or messaging features. Stylists are responsible for their own business practices, pricing, and policies presented to their clients.
Disclaimers & liability
Turtal is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Shark Byte LLC is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the service.
